Word-Finding Intervention Program (WFIP-3) - 14487

Increase learners word-finding skills with the Word-Finding Intervention Program. Based on a three-fold model, word-finding interventions include: retrieval strategy instruction, self-advocacy instruction, and word-finding-based differentiated instruction. The primary goal is to facilitate learners success in oral communication in school and at home. The WFIP-3 is a flexible resource designed for use with a wide age range, organized according to learners differential diagnosis of their word-finding skills. Comprehensive lesson plans for retrieval strategy instruction and self-advocacy instruction are included, with specific lessons to implement differentiated instruction and assessment for learners with word-finding difficulties. Since 1993, the popular Word-Finding Intervention Program has been used in schools, centers, and hospitals by speech-language pathologists, special education teachers, and reading teachers to assess and treat children and adults with word-finding difficulties.
